The Founders of ICORM, and subsequently endorsed by its Executive Council, determined that ORM professionalism needs a combination of academia and experience. Achieving proficiency in risk manazgement means never stop learning, always be aware and do the right thing.
ICORM is delighted to be associated with a network of international universities and learning institutions that offer Professional and Executive Education in the field of Operational Risk Management. Programs at these institutions are developed in consultation with the business community, supported by academic rigor and delivered by seasoned and accredited professionals.

The Schulich School of Business at York University,
Toronto, is the lead academic partner
that ICORM is working with to bring new and
innovative programs to Executives and Managers
in search of expanding their competencies in
the discipline of Strategic and Operational Risk
Management (ERM).
ICORM and Schulich continue to expand beyond
their North American network of universities.
New international locations are being
added in 2010 and beyond. They include
China, Dubai and Russia.

The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) presents
the first international Operational Risk Management program
in the UAE.
DIFC will be accepting registrations for the 5 day program
starting in 2010. A maximum of 25 applicants will be taken
into this program.
Upon completion of the program, participants may be eligible
to receive credits toward their continuing education in
this subject leading to a professional designation. The designation
as an “Operational Risk Management Professional”
is highly regarded in the risk community.

The Centre for Business, Entrepreneurship and Technology (CBET) at the University of Waterloo offers the Masters' Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management in Spring of each year.
It is offered at the CBET campus in Waterloo.
Enrollment for the 15 Day Masters Certificate in Enterprise
Risk Management is currently under way. A maximum
of 25 applicants will be taken into this program.

Upon completion of the program, participants may be eligible to receive their professional designation as an ‘Operational Risk Management Professional' – ORMP. This designation is highly regarded in the risk management community.
